Imagine an orchestra: different instruments come into play, but always at the right time, at exactly the right moment. The conductor ensures that it all comes together as a symphony. That’s exactly how IRIS works in our temperature control units.


Developed in-house. Thought through. Proven.

IRIS is our self-developed control system—the heart of every Tool-Temp unit in the modern MATIC line. She decides when to heat, when to cool, and how the pump operates. Every component at the right time, with the right intensity.

Its development brings together four areas of expertise:

  1. Control engineering for precise regulation
  2. (Power) electronics for actuation, sensors, and interfaces
  3. Software engineering for implementation
  4. User experience design for intuitive operation

This interdisciplinary approach is typical for us, as a Swiss family-owned company, we develop the key technologies ourselves.
 

Tool-Temp:

Intelligently coordinated instead of separately controlled

Conventional control systems treat parameters independently: the system regulates temperature through heating or cooling, while the pump often runs at a fixed speed. IRIS sees the device as a whole. She actively coordinates temperature control, flow rate, and pressure, optimally aligning them with one another. At the same time, IRIS continuously monitors operating conditions in the background and detects issues or faults at an early stage.

The result: higher efficiency, better control quality, and a lower failure rate.

This becomes especially clear in ECO mode: here, IRIS deliberately leverages the interactions between all components and optimizes the entire energy flow—not just individual parameters.
